And they score on the PP just as I submitted that, but not really set up

It would be cool if one of these offseasons of “development” all our 23 and unders could develop some muscle. Seriously. Look at our players on the ice. Size isn’t everything, but 10 more pounds of muscle on a 6ft frame would maybe help with getting put on the ice at most collisions with bigger players. I know physicality isn’t a part of the game and it’s all skill and speed, but my eyes see the tv and last I checked (no pun intended haha) hits are a stat in this league. Hischier is great and this and that, but the dude isn’t too difficult to take out of a play. Same with Bratt and half the roster. You can’t out-deke the forechecker every time. Sometimes having the strength to absorb the hit can help you maintain possession.

I think we all new this was going to be an ugly game with half the team missing. But it was worse. From the puck drop the team seemed "off". And it never got it together. They appeared not to care, and to me definitely "soft". Having Geersten challenge Wilson with 10 minutes left in the game? If you want to try that old ploy you do it 10 minutes into the game when you are down 2-0. Again, just off. Hopefully they regroup and get back to business on Saturday against the still undefeated Sabres.

It doesn't help when the team is 0-50 on faceoffs and the only goal came on a powerplay that was ugly and they just happened to score as it was not set up at all

I knew losing hughes was going to be tough but it shows the lack of quality center depth and we could hardly get anything going

Mercer looked like one of our best guys and he is only playing game #3

Who the hell cares? The Devils aren't going to be using assets and buying at the deadline, especially if Hughes is out beyond Thanksgiving

I suppose it just depends on the severity of the dislocation. Sometimes they heal up fast, sometimes they are ruined for life.

Yeah if its a grade 1 dislocation then he could be back in 2 weeks, but I'm assuming a 4-5 week absence minimum because there's zero reason to rush him back and risk reinjury. It seems like he will need surgery in the offseason no matter what though
